It’s the fight for the first place in Pool A. Both teams already have two wins in the books. JASTRZEBSKI Wegiel took home two straight wins against MONTPELLIER HSC VB and Vojvodina NS Seme NOVI SAD, while VfB FRIEDRICHSHAFEN had to come back after being two sets down against the French champions.
The match up is kind of familiar for both teams, because they already met during last season’s group stage.It’s the first game in front of spectators in their home city for VfB Friedrichshafen since two and a half years. VfB FRIEDRICHSHAFEN surfs on the wave of success. After losing the first Bundesliga game against archrivals BERLIN Recycling Volleys, the Häfler won nine consecutive matches in three competitions. On Saturday Mark Lebedew’s team overpowered SWD powervolleys DÜREN in three sets.
