    4. It’s a tremendously important match for both teams. One the one hand Vojvodina can snap the second position in the table of Pool A with a straight win. On the other hand a victory for VfB FRIEDRICHSHAFEN would push the doors wide open to make it to the next round – for the first time since 2018.

    1. Vojvodina arrived in Friedrichshafen without libero Stefan Negic, middle blocker Nemanja Antunovic and outside spiker Kavogo Yaoussia Landry. Jovan Perovic, junior outside spiker, is the twelfth player in a team.
    2. Vojvodina lost the previous two times in Germany and now the team from Novi Sad have a hope that third time can be lucky. Vojvodina lost in Champions League 4th Round in 20006/07. and 2019/20.
    3. It is very important match for Vojvodina. The team from Novi Sad can keep the chance for the next round.
    4. Vojvodina play better now, also made eight wins in a row in Serbian championship (first place in league, with nine victories and one lost game).
    5. Vojvodina always feels friendly and comfortable in Friedrichshafen. It's a nice city, with a great club. And there is also the former member of Vojvodina, Radomir Vemic.

    Everything went fine for VfB FRIEDRICHSHAFEN leading 10:7 at the beginning of set one. Then came Stevan SIMIC and served nine times in a row. The Serbian middle blocker took his team on the road to success. Vojvodina NS Seme NOVI SAD finally closed the set with 25:20.
    VfB FRIEDRICHSHAFEN’s Tim PETER came in for Luciano VICENTIN during the first set and was the one to turn tables in second set. The young German blocked once and aced twice. Vojin Cacic, with his first point in CEV Champions League Volley 2023, after his rupture of his Achilles tendon in April, equaled the match (25:17).
    FRIEDRICHSHAFEN took set three home easily with 25:16, but NOVI SAD didn’t give up. The Serbians fought back in the fourth set and equaled the set in crunch time. Michal SUPERLAK and Ziga STERN were the ones to make the home fans cheer in the end.
    After JASTRZEBSKI Wegiel won against MONTPELLIER HSC VB earlier that day, FRIEDRICHSHAFEN will at least play CEV cup as third after round four. With three wins out of four matches the Germans threw the doors wide open to make it to the next round of CEV Champions League Volley 2023.
    Tim PETER became most valuable player in his third ever Champions League match. He scored 12 points with two aces and one kill block.

That work payed off in the first set when Simic had 9 serves in a row but we ultimately weren’t able to pull through. Friedrichshafen enhanced their reception. Dejan Vincic was almost always given different options, setting in the first three meters. That made it very hard for us."
