Hebar entered the fight for the first set without much thought, the most productive players of this segment were Jacopo Massari and Simon Hirsch, for two they brought their team 12 points. The Bulgarian team came to the end of the first set with a large margin, but Berlin was not going to give up without a fight. Marek Sotola showed excellent attack and serve performance and scored 7 points, but this did not help his team to win the first set of this match - 0-1 (23-25).
It was obvious that the hosts of the site would draw conclusions in a timeout and take the field with renewed vigor. They were in the lead and tried to maintain a comfortable advantage of at least 2-3 points. But closer to the end of the match, the teams leveled up to a score of 17-17. By the mark of 20 points, the Camilo Placi team reached the first. In this playing segment, Timothee Carle took the lead role among the hosts of the site, he was able to bring his team 6 points, Marek Sotola also scored 4 goals in this set, but the guests again turned out to be stronger in the end of the game. Jacopo Massari put an end to the set with his attack. 0-2 in favor of the guests of the site Hebar Pazardzhik.
Cedric Enard was obviously not in the mood to give away the game in three games, and even at home. Hebar started to make mistakes more often than their opponent, and Berlin played very accurately on the block several times. The hosts got to the end first with the score 20-16 and let the opponent score only once.
The hosts started the fourth set quite confidently, taking a 5-2 lead, but the Bulgarians quickly pulled themselves together and didn't let Berlin get too far ahead of them in the score. In the middle of the game there was a turning point when Hebar was able to take the lead thanks to the efforts of Massari and Aleksiev in the attack. At 23-24, Angel Trinidad de Haro scored a very important point for Berlin and gave his teammates another chance. Further, the opponents exchanged errors on the pitch, and after Aleksiev's flawless attack on the diagonal, he returned the team to the fight for the match-ball. But this was not destined to happen, in the next draw Todor did not cope with the reception of Sotola's serve and the match became a five-set one.
The lottery set started with a confident 3-1 from the Bulgarian team. But Sotola again knocked down the opponent's aim with his serve, with an ace he put Berlin ahead 4-3 and the team managed to reach the equator of the set first. Placi's timeouts didn't help his team much and they continued to make serve errors and sag defensively. Dimitrov scored twice, first in the attack, then on the block, and then Enard needed a timeout. This pause helped his team in the best possible way and they won the game with a score of 3:2.
