    Arash DOSANJH had the opportunity to play in "Centrum" hall in DĄBROWA GÓRNICZA before as he was a part of the ZAWIERCIE team during 2020 CEV Challenge Cup campaign. He played as a starter in the 8th Finals game against Sport Toto ANKARA

    Both teams had the chance to play against each other in late September in the Memorial of Arkadiusz Gołaś tournament. In the semifinal Aluron CMC Warta ZAWIERCIE beat BERLIN Recycling Volleys 3-0 but two of three sets were very close.

    Michał WINIARSKI, head coach of Aluron CMC Warta ZAWIERCIE, worked this summer as a head coach with German National Team where he had the opportunity to work with such players of BERLIN Recycling Volleys as Johannes TILLE and Ruben SCHOTT.

    I was very happy in BERLIN so it is always special to play against ex-team and ex-teammates because I have friends there. But I want to win. Now I am Aluron CMC Warta ZAWIERCIE player and I am very happy about it. For sure I will enjoy this game. We won 9 games in a row because we play very good but we want to be better and better. This is our ambition. For sure we don't feel more pressure. We are in a good moment, we are happy for that and we want to continue this way.

    Berlin Recycling Volleys
    After a 10-day quarantine, BR Volleys head coach Cedric Enard is back on the bench in time for the Champions League match at Aluron CMC Warta ZAWIERCIE. The Frenchman missed three national matches with a Corona infection he brought back from the match in Ankara. All were won under the direction of assistant Lucio Oro
    The Berliners will have to do without their captain Angel Trinidad. The Spanish setter suffered a metacarpal fracture against Halkank ANKARA and will probably not play again this year.
    Arash Dosanjh was signed on as a replacement. The Australian international is no stranger to Europe, having played in Italy, France and Turkey. From 2018 to 2020, the 26-year-old setter even wore the jersey of ZAWIERCIE and thus returns on Wednesday to his old place of work.
    The BR Volleys have not yet won an away match in Poland in the CEV Champions League. Whether against BELCHATOW, GDANSK, JASTRZEBSKI or RZESZOW - the record does not read well.
    The match against Aluron CMC ZAWIERCIE will see a reunion with ex-Berlin player Santiago Danani, who was German champion with Berlin last season. In his last action for the BR Volleys, the Argentine Olympic bronze medalist spectacularly set up the match point for his now upcoming opponent Timothée Carle to win the title.
    On Wednesday, the two top scorers of the group stage so far will also meet. Outside attacker Uros Kovacevic (56 points) and Marek Sotola (50 points) already proved their class twice against Hebar PAZARDZHIK and Halkbank ANKARA

    - More than 2000 fans were watching the game in "Centrum" hall despite the fact that the same evening Poland national football team fought for their first Top 16 promotion at the World Cup since 1986.
