1. The team from Düren has never played against an opponent from Slovenia in 13 years in European competitions. After the match in Ljubljana, Düren will return home. There, the top match against the German champion and undefeated league leader Berlin is scheduled for Saturday.
"For us, November is a month full of highlights. We meet great opponents in the CEV Champions League Volley. And in the Bundesliga, the top matches are coming up," says coach Rafał Murczkiewicz.
In Ljubljana, he sees an opponent with many experienced players who have all played at a high international level. Should Düren manage a win on Wednesday, it would be the first time in their third participation that the team has won two in a row in the CEV Champions League Volley.
The current winning streak has now lasted for six matches. Düren's veteran Björn Andrae is returning to training step by step and is on board the flight to Ljubljana.
The only player who will not be there is 18-year-old libero Leo Bernsmann. He has to attend school during the week. The SWD powervolleys will try to build on their strong performance on serve in the first group match against Ankara. Düren had the upper hand there with 12:3 aces.

"A new challenge in the Champions League, this time on home soil and with the support of the fans. It is going to be a very interesting match, as the opponent is also coming to Ljubljana with his own plans after the opening win. We need to focus on ourselves and win this very important match with our best performance."

Player ACH Volley Ljubljana

"We are looking forward to our first home match in the Champions League. We are facing a very strong SWD powervolleys DÜREN team, who proved in the first round with a win against the Turks what a quality team they are. We also have our own plans, which we will try to realise in every way possible on the wings of the support from our fans."
