Article

VC Dynamo Moscow started the Pool H #CLVolleyM tournament in Armiswil on a positive note after seizing a straight sets victory over the hosts from Lindaren Volley Amriswil. The tournament is taking place in Sporthalle Tellenfend in Amriswil, Switzernald and is part of the preliminary stages of the CEV Champions League Volley 2021 Men.

In all the 3 sets the team from Russia didn’t face any serious troubles. The players coached by Konstantin Brianskii were leading from the very first moment of the match and despite some ups and downs moments, never let their opponents cause any surprises.

In the first set the hosts from Armiswil let some unforced errors affect their game in the last moments. Dynamo, however, also seemed to have had lost a little bit of concentration but were able to close with the comfortable lead of 5 points. Same scenario unfolded in the second set, while in the third one the guests strongly took the leadership and were leading with a comfortable point difference during all the time. Dynamo Moscow performed better in all the components, with the better performance on block and in reception being the key component for the victory.

Yaroslav Podlesnykh from the Russian powerhouse topped the charts for his team with 13 points, while Thomas Zass from the home side scored the same for Lindaren Volley Amriswil.

On Wednesday, the winners from Dynamo Moscow meet on the field their Italian rival from Trentino Itas in what is expected to be the matchup of the week. Lindaren Volley Amriswil, on the other hand, will play the Italians on Thursday. Both matches starting at 19:00 hrs CET and can be followed on EuroVolleyTV.
